Amongst the famous Formula One circuits that have their popularity for hosting the F1 Grand Prix the Bahrain International Circuit has its name. The Bahrain International Circuit is used to host annual F1 world championship races. Apart from the F1 Grand Prix the Bahrain International Circuit also hosted 24 hour races and one V8 Suprecar race called Desert 400. The Bahrain International Circuit is located on Sakhir in Bahrain. Among the major events that are hosted by the Bahrain International Circuit are MotoGP, Drag racing, Bahrain GT Festival, V8 Supercars, F3, GP2and F1. The total length of the circuit of Bahrain International is 5. 411 kilometers. Participants in Bahrain International Circuit have to face fifteen turns while driving.

Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa is said to take proper initiative for constructing the Bahrain International Circuit. The establishment of Bahrain International Circuit is also taken as an objective that has national importance. The main initiator of Bahrain International Circuit– the Crown Prince also presides over the Bahrain Motor Federation.
The designer of Bahrain International Circuit was Hermann Tilke- a German architect. He has also designed another F1 circuit– the Sepang Circuit that is in Malaysia. At its time of making the Bahrain International Circuit cost one hundred and fifty million dollars. The participants of F1 Grand Prix know that the circuit features six tracks that are separated from each other. The Bahrain International Circuit also include one drag strip and an oval test. The outer track of Bahrain International Circuit covers an area of three thousand six hundred and sixty four kilometers.
The Bahrain International Circuit was awarded by the FIA Institute Center of Excellence. This eminent award was given to Bahrain International Circuit for its excellent aspects that feature class technology, adequate facilities for medicine, race marshal and safety.
