Monte Carlo street circuit

Monte Carlo street circuit is a famous name in the automobile racing industry. It is a most popular formula car racing track. The Monte Carlo street circuit is a racing track laid on the on the city streets of the Monte Carlo as well as La Condamine around the harbor of the princedom of Monaco. The area is normally known as 'Monte Carlo'. Monte Carlo street circuit is also referred by the name of Circuit de Monaco.

The Monte Carlo street circuit is considered as a main host of the Formula One Monaco Grand prix. While talking about the formula one car racing, then the name of the Monte Carlo street circuit must comes for once as it is one of the best automobile racing tracks of the world. Apart from the Formula One Monaco Grand prix, some feeder series of formula one like F2, F3000 and GP2 also visit the Monte Carlo street circuit at the same time with the Formula One event.

Anthony Noghes was the person behind the generation of the idea to make a Formula one racing track around the streets of Monaco. He was the active member and president of the Monegasque car club. The inaugural race was performed in this track in the year 1929. The winner of that race was William Grover-Williams.



The Monte Carlo street circuit features several elevation shifts, a narrow course and tight corners. The narrow course makes the Monte Carlo street circuit a most promising as well as interesting Formula One racing track of the world. The track also includes slowest corner and quickest corners of the entire world. Besides this, the lap of the Monte Carlo street circuit begins with a short sprint up to the close St. Devote corner of the track.
